Dave Whorton brings decades of sports, marketing & sponsorship experience, and a proven track record for revenue growth to Caravel

Seattle, WA – January 06, 2022 – Caravel Inc., a national consulting firm specializing in sponsorship marketing, welcomes industry veteran Dave Whorton to the team.

Whorton joins as the Director of Partnerships to support the sponsorship efforts for Caravel’s iconic clients, ranging from local entertainment properties to international sporting events. Whorton will focus on providing cutting-edge solutions, innovative ideas, and accelerating revenue growth for Caravel’s growing client portfolio.

Whorton will also support the continued expansion of Sponsorship Mastery to provide sponsorship marketers tools and resources to master the art and science of sponsorship. “Dave will be a tremendous asset to our efforts to help sponsorship marketers thrive and to advocate for the industry,” says Beadle. Since launching Sponsorship Mastery in 2019 to respond to the industry’s need for training and development solutions, Sponsorship Mastery has experienced major growth and is seen by the company as a key part of its unique positioning for the future.

Whorton is a seasoned sales, marketing and sponsorship professional that thrives on delivering thoughtful, innovative solutions to brands, agencies, and properties across the county. Most recently, Whorton served as the Director of Sports and Entertainment Partnerships at STAR, a Minneapolis-based experiential fabrication agency. In this role, he led the agency’s strategic evolution and growth in the sports and entertainment sectors. Over the course of his career, he has led the strategy development for several top organizations, including Bank of America, the American Heart Association, AT&T, PepsiCo, and other leading brands. Additionally, Whorton has executed acclaimed events on behalf of sponsors at the NCAA Final Four Fan Fest and the College Football Playoff Championship Campus.
